Prof. Somdev Shatanshu (Officiating)
Prof. Somdev Satanshu is currently working as Officiating Vice Chancellor of the University. He has more than 35 years of experience of teaching and research. He has published more than 45 research papers in national and international journals of repute. 16 Ph.D. Scholars have successfully completed their Ph.D. under his guidance and currently 8 scholars are enrolled. He has authored many articles in the books and special issues along with publication of book titled “brahmanandcharitam”. He has worked as editor of many books including Shatpath Brahman, Pavmaani, Gurukula Patrika, Prabhat Hiranyjyoti etc.
He has worked as head and Dean of the faculty of oriental studies for past few years and a reputed member of BOS and Committees of Punjab University, Kurukshetra University.
He has been actively involved in social work as coordinator, felicitator and supporter with many NGO’s and worked throughout India for uplifting the society by providing free education in awareness programs, felicitation programs etc.
He has been awarded with Dr. R. G. Rahurkar award in year 2002 for special publication on Vedic Literature by All India convention on oriental studies, awarded with Dr. Mumukshu Arya paathvidhi award in year 2018 for proliferation of Vedic Literature by Welfare association of Ajmer, awarded with vedvidvat award in year 2019 by Arya Samaj Goregaun, Mumbai.
