For B.Tech:
The admission (decided by AICTE, APH 2026-27) is open to all the male candidates who
- Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics /Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship. (Any of the three) Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
- AIR of JEE Mains for Session 2026-27 conducted by N.T.A., New Delhi.
For B Tech II year (Lateral Entry)
Passed min. 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
For Diploma:
The admission is open to all the male candidate who passed 10th examination.
For Diploma II Year (Lateral Entry):
The admission is open to all the male candidate who passed ITI/12th examination.
There are two ways by which an aspirant can get admission in B.Tech. course in FET, GKV
- Admission shall be made in accordance with rules and regulations made by CSAB/JoSAA through CML/AIR of JEE Mains – 2026.
- After upgradation of the already admitted students remaining vacant seats will be filled through candidates by applying online on www.gkv.ac.in, on the basis of AIR of JEE(Mains).
Application for B.Tech I year against vacant seats to be filled online on www.gkv.ac.in and Registration Form along with required fee of Rs.200/- in the form of online transfer receipt should be sent to- admissions.fet@gkv.ac.in.
Candidates shall have to deposit Rs. 1100/-(Non Refundable and Not Adjustable) as counselling fee in favour of the Registrar, Gurukula Kangri Samvishwavidyalaya payable at Haridwar at the time of counselling for vacant seats.
Candidates in the merit list have to come for counseling /admission along with the following original certificates /documents with Set of photocopies & Photographs.

- Migration & TC from the institution last attended
- Character certificate from the institution last attended

A candidate must have passed the Diploma in Engineering in the any branch with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate. OR A candidate must have passed the Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics as a subject and with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST and GKV graduates) in aggregate.
Admission shall be made on the basis of merit(Diploma/BSc Marks).
For Direct Admission to B.Tech II year candidates have to produce following certificates
- High School Certificate & Marksheet.
- Intermediate (10+2) Certificate & Marksheet. if applicable
- B.Sc./Diploma Certificate & Marksheet
- Migration & TC from the institution last attended
- Character certificate from the institution last attended
- Reservation category certificate, if applicable
Hostel facility is available in the main campus of Vishwavidyalaya and FET Campus for B.Tech. Ist Year students only against limited seats as per GKV Hostels allotment policy.
Merit list of the selected candidates will be published on the notice boards at Registrar office and Faculty of Engineering & Technology. It will also be available on the university website. No communication will be done by post regarding the admission.
The Admission of the candidate shall be cancelled if the information given by the candidate is found false/incorrect or not fulfilling minimum eligibility at any stage, during or after admission.
Candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying examination shall have to produce their result up to 15 October 2026 failing which their admission shall be treated as cancelled.
27% OBC, 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 10% EWS and 5% vertical reservation for PWD (differently abled person)
No fee relaxation to EWS. Only the hostel fee for SC and ST candidates is to be taken as Rs. 20,000 in place of Rs. 25,000, other particulars remaining the same. The scholarship may be provided according to the state government rules in which state the candidate belongs.

Change /upgradation depends on availability of seats in that branch and will be as per merit of I year marks provided applicant should not have any backlog.
Documents are be deposited at the time of seat allotment. In case document are not submitted on time, the enrollment shall remain pending, and candidate cannot offer in examination
Change of branch can be done in second year on the basis of first year marks or/and in first year upgradation on the basis of JEE mains rank.
