Facilities

General

Studies in science are incomplete without an adequate training in the laboratories and demonstrations. Keeping this view in mind, the training for the basics of the subject and also for research and industrial requirements, the laboratories are equipped in about 5200 sq. ft. covered area.
The labs are well equipped with modern sophisticated instruments as well as conventional apparatus and techniques. Various other equipments and techniques are also available in the department to analyze the samples of industrial importance such as Water, Soil, Soaps & Detergents, Paints, Pigments, Fertilizers, Oil & Fats, Cements, Mortar, Minerals, Metals, Alloys, Allopathic and Ayurvedic drugs, Polymers etc.

FT-Infra Red Spectrometer, UV-VIS double beam spectrophotometers(different models), Gas Chromatograph, GC-MS, Stopped Flow equipment for Fast kinetics, Polarograph, Autolab workstation for cyclic voltammetry and other electroanalytical techniques, pH-meters, Conductometers Nepheloturbidimeters, Flame photometers, Potentiometers, Refractometers, Polarimeters, Single beam visible Spectrophotometers, High precision thermostates, Electronic Balance, D.O. analyzer, BOD incubators, Water analysis kit, Centrifuge, Electrophoresis apparatuses, Soxhlet apparatus, Interferometer, Photoflourometer, Muffle furnace, etc. , TDS analysers, C&S analysers, Column, Paper and Thin Layer chromatography facilities, Computational Lab, LCD projectors, Interactive board.
