Bachelor’s degree program

(i) B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering program. The curriculum is designed to develop strong fundamentals in mechanical sciences, manufacturing, design, thermal engineering, and industrial applications. Admissions are based on JEE (Main) merit, with seat allocation through JoSAA and CSAB.

(ii) B.Tech. in Robotics and Automation
The Department of Mechanical Engineering also offers a four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Robotics and Automation program. The curriculum focuses on robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and industrial automation technologies. Admissions are based on JEE (Main) merit, with seat allocation through JoSAA and CSAB.

Diploma Program
Mechanical Engineering Department also offered “Diploma in Mechanical Engineering” Program. It is a three years Diploma (Polytechnic) program. Admission to Diploma will be done on the basis of merit of marks obtained in class 10th. Also, the vacant seats will be filled by giving priority to various state-level entrance examinations for diploma admission.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering for Working Professionals
The professionals working in Registered Industry/ Oranization (Central/ State)/ Private/ Public Limited Company/ MSMEs can upskill their technical proficiency with a program of Diploma in Mechanical. The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering for Working Professional offered by Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University) is approved by AICTE.

Minor Degree in Robotics
To enhance the employability skills and impart deep knowledge of Engineering graduates in emerging area i.e. ROBOTICS, the Department of Mechanical Engineering come up with the concept of a ‘Minor Degree’ in ROBOTICS. The students enrolled in any discipline of B.Tech. as major discipline are eligible to enrol in this Minor Degree program which is offered as per the ‘Minor Degree’ concept as discussed in the Approval Process Handbook (APH) of AICTE. A minor degree will carry 18 to 20 credits in addition to the credits essential for obtaining the Undergraduate Degree in Major Discipline (i.e. 160 credits for regular students and 120 credits for lateral entry students). The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) with a Minor program focuses on the fundamental principles of Robotics to shape the future with ROBOT as one of the emerging technology in INDUSTRY 5.0

PhD in Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a PhD program focused on cutting-edge research, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning in emerging areas of Mechanical Engineering. The program aims to nurture scholars with strong analytical, experimental, and computational skills, enabling them to address real-world industrial and societal challenges.
