COURSES RUN UNDER DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
1) PH. D. (COMPUTER SCIENCE) PROGRAMME
The Ph.D. (Computer Science) is a regular programme and was started in the session 1998-99. Admissions to this Research Programme are held through Research Entrance Test (RET) an annual entrance test. Candidate has passed UGC/CSIR (NET-JRF)/ NET/ SLET/ GATE and hold the Teacher Fellowship under QIP/ FDP/ FIP may be considered for Direct Admission to this programme without appearing in RET.
2) MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS
The Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a three years’ full time course and was initiated in the session 1993-94. Admissions to this course are held through an annual entrance test conducted by the Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya. Twenty batches have already passed out and the students have got placement in the academic as well as Industries/Organisation of repute.
The spirit of the course is embodied in the objectives of developing the student’s capabilities into professional talent in the software development arena. The emphasis is on learning through an optimum blend, self-discipline and guidance. The curriculum is updated regularly and takes care of the needs of the software industry. Guest lectures are arranged and eminent personalities are invited to address the students from time to time.
